Our Promise

Every piece at TBDesign is thoughtfully restored, refinished, or custom-built by hand.

We believe furniture should carry a story. Some pieces arrive with decades of history already written into them; others begin as raw wood and are built for the life that comes next. Because every project is individually crafted, no two pieces are exactly alike—and that is part of what makes them special.

We stand behind our workmanship and want you to feel confident throughout the entire TBDesign experience.

What You Can Expect

• Every piece is inspected before it leaves our shop.

• We carefully document and represent the condition of restored and vintage furniture through photographs and descriptions.

• We communicate project details, pricing, finishes, and delivery expectations before work begins.

• We are available before, during, and after your project if questions arise.

• If there is an issue directly related to our restoration or craftsmanship, please contact us so we can work toward an appropriate solution.

Restored & Vintage Furniture

Unless specifically identified as a new custom build, many TBDesign pieces are restored, refinished, vintage, antique, or previously owned.

Small dents, repaired areas, variations in grain, age-related markings, previous wear, and other imperfections may remain after restoration. These characteristics are part of the history and individuality of the piece and should not be expected to resemble factory-new furniture.

Our goal is not to erase the story of a piece, but to thoughtfully restore it for its next chapter.

Custom Wood Furniture

Solid wood is a natural material and will respond to its environment.

Seasonal expansion and contraction, subtle wood movement, grain variation, knots, minor checking, and changes related to temperature or humidity can naturally occur over time. These characteristics are not necessarily defects in workmanship.

Proper care helps preserve your furniture. Please contact TBDesign for care recommendations specific to your piece.

Project Deposits & Payment

A deposit is required for custom, restoration, and refinishing projects to reserve production time and secure materials.

Deposits are nonrefundable once a project has been scheduled, materials have been purchased, or work has begun.

The remaining project balance is due upon completion and before furniture is released for pickup, shipment, or delivery unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Project quotes are generally valid for 14 days, and production scheduling is confirmed once the required deposit is received.

Delivery Options

TBDesign offers delivery options based on the size, location, and needs of each project.

Standard Delivery — Customer Unload Required
Standard delivery does not include unloading by the driver. The customer is responsible for having adequate assistance available to safely unload the furniture when it arrives.

White Glove Delivery
When selected and included in the delivery quote, White Glove Delivery provides the unloading and placement services described in the project agreement.

If adequate unloading assistance is not available for a Standard Delivery, additional service and professional mover charges may apply before the piece can be unloaded. Specific delivery terms are provided with each project agreement.

Shipping & Delivery Care

Furniture is carefully prepared before leaving the TBDesign shop. Depending on the delivery or shipping method, pieces may be blanket wrapped, packaged, photographed, and documented before departure.

If an item arrives with unexpected shipping damage, please photograph the piece and packaging before removing or discarding any materials and contact TBDesign promptly so we can assist in determining the appropriate next steps.

Returns & Custom Work

Because TBDesign furniture is often custom-built, custom-restored, or one-of-a-kind, returns and cancellations are generally not accepted after materials have been purchased or work has begun.

If a completed piece differs materially from the approved project specifications or there is a craftsmanship concern, please contact us. Our goal is to review the circumstances fairly and work toward an appropriate resolution.
